Hi there, I would like to edit a few thousand products utilizing a {Product Name} Type feature. Is this possible?
looks like I have it for the "Replace all descriptions with this description", but not for the other bulk edit functions.
For "Replace all descriptions with this description", you can use "{product_title}" as the variable for the the product_title.

For editing product titles, you could try my other app "CSV Import & Update Inventory". You'd export the products to CSV, delete all columns except for the "ID" and "Title" columns, then modify the product titles in CSV file, then import the products again, using the "ID" as the product identifier.

there are five advanced editing option in total:
- Replace all descriptions with this description (already interprets {product_title} variable)
- Search & Replace Text
- Search & Replace HTML
- Append to all product descriptions
- Prepend to all product descriptions
which of the other 4 advanced editing option do you need to use the {product_title} variable? Since I already have the working code for one option, it's very easy for me to get it working for another option. I just need to know which ones specifically you'd need it for.

Looks like I also have {collection_title} and {collection_description} variables. However, these are only useful if you're using the collection id filter

In our current product database CSV, the products named as (ex.) 2018 Acura Intera PPF Kit.
I would like to edit the descriptions for all products to describe the vehicle we are offering the kit for (2018 Acura Integra), without the "PPF Kit" suffix. For instance: "Protect your 2018 Acura Integra with a paint protection film kit, designed to protect blah blah blah.".
Any suggestions here?
My first thought is to perform the desired change for the descriptions, and then use the Search and Replace Text tool to strip out "PPF Kit" after it is added via inserting the product title.

yes, that will work. Just Search & replace text to strip out the "PPF Kit". Except you will need a leading whitespace like " PPF Kit" so that after the replace, there won't be a trailing whitespace.
sounds like you only need the "{product_title}" variable for "Replace all descriptions with this description"? If so, that functionality is already there.
